Among teams to appear in at least one NBA Finals, the Spurs and Sacramento Kings franchise are the only teams to have never trailed in a Finals series. MIAMI — As the Miami Heat were in the midst of a dominant second-half run on the way to a Game 2 victory in the Finals against San Antonio, point guard Mario Chalmers approached LeBron James near midcourt with a message. LeBron James’ average shot distance in the 2013 Finals is 13.3 feet, his highest in any series in the last two postseasons. James has moved further away from the basket throughout the playoffs, with his average shot distance increasing in each series. After shooting 62.7 percent against the Bucks, his highest shooting percentage in any career playoff series, James is shooting 46.6 percent in the last three series.
